Origin of RO Logo

(as described by the original designer and former volunteer Tham Yingjie)


The RO logo symbolizes the deep bond between clients and volunteers in the simple form of two vibrant brush strokes. The turquoise stroke, representing the volunteers, congregates with the purple stroke that denotes the clients. This logo expresses the project's mission of reaching out to each other. The resulting composition, which takes on the shape of the heart, exemplifies our fundamental values of love and compassion.

This logo, designed in the year 2000, emerged as the bearer of our identity after receiving the highest number of vote from our clients among the shortlisted designs.
