September 2019 Updates

Hello and welcome back to another month of RO updates!

This month we learned about healthy lifestyles, celebrated Mid Autumn Festival, and prepared for our Children's Day event with Childrens' Wing and East Point on 5 Oct! ๐Ÿ˜†

1. Healthy lifestyles

During lessons, we learned how we could make our own healthy and delicious snacks as well as how we could adopt healthier lifestyles back at home!

2. Preparation and celebration of Mid Autumn Festival ๐ŸŒ‘๐ŸŒ’๐ŸŒ“๐ŸŒ”๐ŸŒ•๐ŸŒ–๐ŸŒ—๐ŸŒ˜

In preparation for the upcoming Mid Autumn Festival, we learned how to make our own beautiful ๐Ÿฎlanterns๐Ÿฎ out of colourful crepe paper during one of our lessons!

The week after that, we celebrated Mid Autumn Festival with another project group, Regular Service Project for the Intellectually Disabled (RSPID). ๐ŸŽ‰ We played games where we learned about the Mid Autumn Festival celebrations.

We also had the chance to make bright lanterns out of plastic cups, cellophane paper and mini finger lights. Aren't they pretty? ๐Ÿ˜

We were also able to make our very own snow skin mooncakes to bring back home to share with our family members! ๐Ÿ˜‹

3. Preparation for Children's Day ๐Ÿง’

In preparation for our Children's Day event with East Point and Children's' Wing in October, our members made gifts for them and reminisced about their childhood times as we learned the appropriate behaviours when interacting with the children.

We have come to the end of yet another exciting month! Do check back again for our updates next month! ๐Ÿ˜‰
